    Business Development Manager

    Job Description

    • The candidate will support growth aspirations of their organization.
    • The Business Development Manager is responsible for creating and managing the opportunity spreadsheet ensuring all actions required to win an opportunity are adequately closed out and key relationships developed and maintained.
    • To develop close working relationships with key contact persons within the company’s field of specialization.
    • To work with the Managing Director to develop new partnerships with foreign companies wanting to bring their business to Nigeria.
    • To attain and demonstrate strong product/service knowledge to effectively communicate and show initiative during client interaction.

    Executive Assistant to the Directors

    Gender: Female

    Primary Job Purpose

    • Executive Assistant to the Directors will serve as the Primary Point of Contact (PPC) for internal and external as well as personal matters pertaining to the Office of the Managing Director.
    • The Executive Assistant will also serve as a liaison to the board of directors and senior management teams; organize and coordinate and oversee special projects. She will exercise good judgment in a variety of situations and maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.
    • She will also work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

    Duties & Responsibilities
    Executive Support:

    • Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks for the Directors, managing an active calendar of appointments; completing expense reports; composing and preparing correspondence that is sometimes confidential; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; and compiling documents for meetings.
    • Organising and meetings and ensuring the Directors are well prepared for meetings by ensuring that all schedules are met in timely manner.
    • Plan, coordinate and ensure the Director’s schedules especially that of the MD/CEO is efficient
    • Directly supervise personal as well as all administrative staff assigned to the Managing Director.
    • Receiving visitors at all levels of seniority.
    • Provide a bridge for smooth communication between the Director's office and internal departments; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust and support with management staff.
    • Assist in providing leadership while building relationships crucial to the success of the organization, and manages a variety of special projects for the Directors.
    • Streamline approval requests to the Managing Director and ensure proper staff work precedes submission of same.
    • Manage Company Procurement and Store to ensure that proper records are kept and procedures followed for goods supplied and released from store.
    • Ensures that the Director's bio is kept updated and responds to requests for materials regarding the Managing Director and the organization in general
    • Manage contacts to conduct up-to-date database entry, track VIP relations and correspondence; facilitate relationships by familiarizing him/herself with various life events (such as birthdays, and other major milestones)
    • Update the Directors especially the Managing Director on information deemed relevant to the industry by way of competition or new government regulations.

    General Support:

    • Devising, maintaining and managing office systems including data management and filing.
    • Maintain physical and electronic office filing systems for the Directors
    • Sets-up staff meetings, maintain electronic staff calendars and organize team events
    • Other responsibilities include: Directly supervise the Administrative Assistant, interview, make hiring recommendations, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; address complaints and resolve problems
    • Any other role as assigned by Management.

    Requirements

    Area Sales Manager

    Reports To: National Sales Manager
    Division / Department: Pharma
    Direct Reports: Medical Reps (MR) - Sales Reps (SR)

    Job Purpose / Scope of the Role

    • Manage and supervise the day-to-day activities of the entire field staff in the assigned area with a view of attaining targeted calls and sales goals.
    • Develop and improve the business sales-wise in your area.
    • Train, coach and motivate the reps in your area.

    Job Description

    • Achieve set targets through your MR and SR in your area as directed by your line manager.
    • Ensure that all KD’s are adequately stocked for at least a minimum of 10 days to a maximum of 15 days (unless otherwise agreed with your NSM) and never out of stock.
    • Ensure that the MR and SR attached to you understand and promote the Sub-D scheme in order to retain customer loyalty and further grow the business in their stores.
    • To expand the distribution of our products by scouting for new KDs in your assigned area.
    • Ensure you understand the drivers and the blockers of your distribution business. Protect the drivers and avoid the blockers to ensure the smooth running of your business.
    • Monitor the competition activity in your area (promotions, pricing, new products launch, in-market activation, point of sales material, their KD contacts and route to market strategy etc).
    • Continually coach MR and SR in your area, Build their sales capabilities by continuous on the field training.
    • Ensure that your MR and SR abide by the routing, service properly and continuously the customers assigned to them and complete on daily basis the customer card at hand without any manipulation or falsification of data.
    • Ensure you understand and utilize smartly the different sales reports issued by customer service to monitor the performance of your team and KD’s in your territory.
    • Ensure your spot check on a daily basis with KD representatives if the SR’s are reconciling stock on daily basis and take immediate corrective measures if needed (inform NSM, CS,).
    • Ensure you control the sales float given to your MR as well as to his team ensure that all expenses are supported by genuine receipts/invoices. You will be directly responsible for any manipulation or failure to submit any expenses without backup.
    • Ensure you have succession planning for yourself and all MR and SR’s under you and should update the list on a quarterly basis and submit it to the NSM to ensure continuity of business.
    • Any other duties and projects assigned by the National Sales Manager.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • University graduate - B.Pharm desirable (Must be a pharmacist)
    • Strong sales background in Pharma /FMCG (6 years+)
    • Strong relationship building skills
    • Ability to manage teams and result oriented.
    • Excellent Communication skills and perfect command of the English language.
    • In-depth knowledge of Nigerian Medical Institutions
    • Passion for markets and attention to detail.

    Salary
    N300,000 - N350,000 Monthly.
