    Business Development Manager

    About the Role

    • We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives across our payment and switching business lines.
    • Based in Lagos, Nigeria, this role will drive merchant and partner acquisition, strategic partnerships, and revenue growth for GlobalPay and Terraswitch.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with merchants, banks, and fintech partners.
    • Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow revenue across key market segments.
    • Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions, PSSPs/PSPs, and corporate clients.
    • Represent GlobalPay and Terraswitch at industry events, partner meetings, and regulatory forums.
    • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to tailor solutions to partner and merchant needs.
    • Track market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to inform growth strategy.
    • Prepare proposals, commercial terms, and partnership agreements in coordination with Legal.
    • Report on pipeline, revenue targets, and partnership performance to executive management.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field; MBA is an advantage.
    • 5-8 years of business development or sales experience, preferably in fintech, banking, or payments.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and partnership targets.
    • Strong network within Nigeria's financial services and fintech ecosystem is highly desirable.

    Settlement and Chargeback Specialist

    About the Role

    • We are seeking a meticulous Settlement and Chargeback Specialist to join our Operations team. Based in Lagos, Nigeria,
    • This role is responsible for ensuring accurate transaction settlement and the timely, compliant resolution of chargebacks and disputes across our card and switching operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Process and reconcile daily settlement files between GlobalPay/Terraswitch, banks, and card schemes (Visa, Mastercard, Verve).
    • Investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies, failed transactions, and suspense account items.
    • Manage the end-to-end chargeback lifecycle, from receipt through representment and resolution.
    • Liaise with acquiring/issuing banks and card scheme representatives on dispute cases.
    • Track chargeback and fraud trends, and escalate emerging risk patterns to Risk and Compliance.
    • Maintain accurate settlement and chargeback logs, and prepare periodic reconciliation reports.
    • Ensure adherence to card scheme rules, timelines, and evidentiary requirements for dispute resolution.
    • Support merchants and internal teams with settlement and chargeback status inquiries

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
    • 2-5 years of experience in settlement, reconciliation, or chargeback/dispute management within a bank, switch, or fintech.
    • Working knowledge of Visa/Mastercard chargeback and dispute rules is highly desirable.
    • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

    Required Skills & Technologies:

    • Payments Knowledge: Card scheme settlement and chargeback rules (Visa, Mastercard, Verve)
    • Reconciliation: Transaction and settlement account reconciliation
    • Tools: Switching/processing platforms, MS Excel, dispute management systems

    • Coordinate with Risk and Compliance on fraud-related chargeback patterns.
    • Liaise directly with partner banks and card schemes on escalated cases

    Accountant

    About the Role

    • Global Pay Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join our Finance team. Based in Lagos, Nigeria, this role will support day-to-day financial operations, reporting, and reconciliation across GlobalPay and its affiliate entities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and journal entries.
    • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank and settlement account reconciliations.
    • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements.
    • Ensure timely remittance and filing of statutory taxes (VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT).
    • Assist with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial forecasting.
    • Process vendor payments, staff expense claims, and payroll-related entries.
    • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and schedules.
    • Maintain fixed asset register and monitor accounting controls.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • 3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally within banking, fintech, or a payments company.
    • ICAN or ACCA certification (or in view) is an advantage.
    • Strong understanding of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.

    Required Skills & Technologies:

    • Accounting Standards: IFRS and Nigerian statutory reporting requirements
    • Software: QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or similar ERP/accounting systems
    • Spreadsheets: Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling)
    • Tax: FIRS and LIRS tax filing procedures
    • Reconciliation: Bank and settlement account reconciliation

    Collaboration & Work Practices:

    • Work closely with the Settlement team to reconcile transaction and payout accounts.
    • Support Compliance with audit trails and financial documentation requests.
    • Report to the Finance Manager/CFO on account status and variances.
    • Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
