Duties & Responsibilities

• Debug and optimize automation programs, maintain program and system files backup; maintain software and communication networks.
• Assist maintenance and Engineering with troubleshooting procedures for equipment such as Filling and process equipment.
• Ensure maintenance upgrades and repair of PLCs including servers and interface panels.
• Oversee the instruments and control systems from an engineering perspective and assures all design modifications or additions of the same are performed professionally and in strict accordance with company procedures and code compliance.
• Assure all planning, scheduling and managing all instruments and controls engineering activities related to plant facilities are coordinated and performed safely and efficiently.
• Ensure that documentation for the instruments and controls systems are maintained properly.
• Development of SOPs including update of unit operating manuals.
• Use design software to perform engineering tasks to improve the efficiency of the machines.
• Provide leadership and discipline expertise to less experienced support staff, engineering design, maintenance and operation groups.
• Provide accurate and timely instruments and control engineering guidance and advice to all project and asset teams.
• Develop Programme Logic Control programs for new equipment as needed, and other duties as assigned.

Education / Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, Experience & Other Requirements

• Education / Knowledge: Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering Graduate
• Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in Automation or Instrumental and Electrical maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience, proven track record in troubleshooting and analysis of instrumentation and process engineering system problems.
• Knowledge of Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis and root cause analysis.
• Working Experience: Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system tests.
• Creative thinking skills.
• Detail-oriented personality.
• Excellent operating manual application.
• Ability to communicate well to other members of the development team.
• Experience in execution of automation projects

Duties & Responsibilitiess

• File all necessary applications and responses to Compliances Directives (CD) as advice by regulatory bodies with regards to application filed.
• Review Advert communication/claims and obtain necessary Regulatory Approvals
• Monitor trends and new developments of National and International regulatory guidelines as it affects company line of products.
• Undertake and manage Regulatory inspection and visit to the Factory
• Coordinate the process for obtaining import permit for Raw materials for production process.
• Obtain cGMP Certification for export purposes
• Maintain database of all registered products and approvals
• Ensure compliance of all COMPANY products to Local Regulations
• Ensure Training/Awareness for Internal Stakeholder on Regulatory expectation
• Any other duty assigned.

Education / Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, Experience & Other Requirements
Education / Knowledge:

• B.Sc / HND - Microbiology or Food Technology / Related science courses
• ISO Standards (9001,45001,14001,22000).

Working Experience:

• 3 - 8 years.

Skills & Other:

• Working knowledge and contact with Nigerian Regulatory agencies (NAFDAC. SON. LASEPA , LAWMA , Min of Environment/Health ,Educational / Research Institutions )
• Proven track record in managing and delivering against multiple projects
• Experience and exposure to HACCP, ISO and Quality systems in the food industry

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for day to day maintenance and repair of production equipment.
• Planning and implementation of 5s
• To frequently liaise with maintenance manager on maintenance and repair activities of production floor.
• To continuously improve the performance of all machine and equipment.
• Ensure the quality of spares and specification of fabricated part by the vendors.
• To plan for spare parts requirement to prevent delay in production process due to spare part requirement.
• To continuously carry out routine check on all machine and to ensure they are in good working condition.
• To allocate work that matches the skill level of the technician to prevent reoccurrence of such and achieve less machines breakdown for maximum production.
• To ensure proper tools are provided to the staff for working, proper control and safekeeping of the tools.
• Adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
• To strictly adhere to statutory and regulatory requirements.
• To plan for the various maintenance schedule base on anticipated planned maintenance.

Education / Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, Experience & Other Requirements
Education / Knowledge:

• BSc or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.

Working Experience| Skills & Other:

• Not less than three years of similar experience in the manufacturing industry (FMCG).
• Ability to conduct routine inspection on equipment
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance.
• Good knowledge in maintenance and repair of electrical metering, instrumentation and controls.
• Ability to program frequency drive and other control units.
• Ability to work under pressure without supervision.
• Must be able to read and interpret electrical drawings.
• In-depth knowledge of practical electrical operations and applications
• Good knowledge of safety rules applied to maintenance
• Fantastic organizational and leadership skills.
