Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts, layouts, designs, and detailed working drawings for residential and commercial projects.
• Prepare architectural plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
• Produce high-quality 3D models, renderings, and visual presentations.
• Prepare and revise architectural drawings in line with project requirements and management instructions.
• Coordinate architectural designs with structural, mechanical, electrical, and other engineering disciplines.
• Assist in preparing design presentations, project proposals, and other architectural documentation.
• Review construction drawings and identify design discrepancies or coordination issues.
• Assist with planning submissions, building approval documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure architectural designs comply with applicable building regulations, standards, and project specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
• Work collaboratively with senior architects, engineers, and project managers to meet project deadlines.
• Keep up to date with current architectural trends, materials, construction technologies, and sustainable design practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Minimum of 3years of relevant professional experience in architectural design and construction documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, 3ds Max, or other relevant architectural software.
• Ability to prepare architectural working drawings and detailed construction documents.
• Experience in 3D modelling, rendering, and architectural visualisation.
• Good understanding of building materials, construction methods, and architectural detailing.
• Ability to interpret architectural briefs and translate them into practical design solutions.
• Strong creativity, technical aptitude, and attention to detail.
• Good communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage assigned tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines.
• Knowledge of Nigerian building regulations and planning approval procedures is an advantage.

The ideal candidate must have practical experience in building mechanical services, including plumbing, drainage, HVAC, fire protection, and other mechanical installations, with the ability to coordinate effectively with architectural, structural, and electrical engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, review, and supervise mechanical building services installations for residential, commercial, and other construction projects.
• Oversee the installation and maintenance of plumbing, water supply, drainage, sewage, and sanitary systems.
• Coordinate the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems.
• Supervise mechanical works, including fire protection systems, pumps, water storage systems, and related building services.
• Prepare and review mechanical drawings, layouts, technical specifications, and bills of quantities where required.
• Interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings to ensure proper coordination and avoid clashes between building services.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress, quality of installation, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers, architects, structural engineers, quantity surveyors, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Supervise contractors and subcontractors to ensure that mechanical works meet project requirements, quality standards, and agreed deadlines.
• Identify and resolve mechanical design issues, installation challenges, and site-related technical problems.
• Review mechanical equipment, materials, and technical submissions to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure all mechanical installations comply with applicable building codes, engineering standards, and health and safety requirements.
• Prepare progress reports, inspection reports, and other technical documentation as required.
• Support project planning, cost control, material scheduling, and timely delivery of mechanical works.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the building construction, real estate, or property development industry.
• Demonstrable experience in building services and construction mechanical works.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, drainage, water supply, HVAC, fire protection, and other mechanical building systems.
• Experience supervising mechanical installations on active construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, architectural, and structural drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant mechanical design or building services software. Knowledge of Revit MEP will be an advantage.
• Understanding of mechanical equipment selection, installation procedures, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of applicable building regulations, engineering standards, and site safety practices.
• Professional registration with COREN or eligibility for registration will be an advantage.
• Strong technical, analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
