Electrical Engineer at ADKAN Services

Key Responsibilities

• Design, review, and supervise electrical installations for residential, commercial, and other building projects.
• Prepare and review electrical drawings, layouts, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Coordinate electrical works with structural, mechanical, architectural, and other project teams.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with approved drawings and applicable regulations.
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project specifications, safety requirements, and deadlines.
• Identify and resolve electrical design and site-related technical issues.
• Review electrical materials, equipment, and technical submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor project progress and prepare technical reports as required.
• Ensure proper implementation of electrical safety standards and relevant building codes.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the construction, real estate, or building services industry.
• Professional registration with COREN or eligibility for registration will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant electrical design and engineering software.
• Sound knowledge of electrical installations, power distribution, lighting systems, earthing, lightning protection, and backup power systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications, and building plans.
• Experience in site supervision, contractor coordination, quality control, and project documentation.
• Good understanding of applicable electrical standards, building regulations, and health and safety requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while meeting project deadlines.
