    Analyst, Operations Coordinator (Ship-to-ship)

    Description

    • The Operations Coordinator – Ship-to-Ship (STS) Operations plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient execution of all STS cargo transfer activities.
    • Acting as the central communication point between vessels, service providers, clients, and regulatory stakeholders, the Coordinator is responsible for maintaining operational readiness and delivering a high standard of service throughout all phases of each operation.
    • The role encompasses full lifecycle management of STS operations, beginning with detailed pre-operational planning. 
    • This includes preparing all required operational documentation, confirming equipment availability, and coordinating schedules with vessel masters, mooring masters, agents, and other key stakeholders. 
    • During live operations, the Coordinator closely monitors progress, identifies any deviations from the approved plan, and promptly escalates issues to ensure safe and uninterrupted execution.
    • A key responsibility of the position is ensuring strict compliance with international and local regulations, including OCIMF guidelines and recognised industry best practices. 
    • The Coordinator supports safety oversight by contributing to risk assessments, incident reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. 
    • In addition, the role involves maintaining comprehensive operational records, including checklists, post-operation reports, and performance summaries.
    • The position requires strong logistical coordination capabilities, including the mobilisation of equipment such as fenders and hoses, as well as the arrangement of personnel transfers. Effective and timely communication with clients, regulatory authorities, and internal teams is essential. 
    • The Coordinator is also responsible for compiling operational KPIs, monitoring costs, and supporting emergency response readiness where required.
    • Success in this role requires a sound understanding of maritime operations, particularly tanker handling and marine safety. 
    • Prior experience in STS operations or tanker logistics is highly advantageous. 
    • The role demands excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail—especially in documentation accuracy—and the ability to respond effectively to dynamic operational challenges.

    Requirements

    Essential:

    • Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in offshore marine operations, vessel management, or a similar role.
    • Strong understanding of offshore support vessels (OSVs), marine logistics, and operational readiness.
    • Demonstrated experience working with captains and crew in a shore‑based support capacity.
    • Knowledge of Nigerian maritime regulations and offshore industry practices.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.

    Preferred:

    • Seagoing experience (e.g., Deck Officer, Marine Engineer) is a strong advantage.
    • Experience supporting chartering or commercial marine activities.
    • Familiarity with DP vessels, AHTS, PSV, or other offshore fleet types.
    • Proficiency in scheduling tools, reporting systems, and standard office applications is essential, alongside a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

    Analyst, Documentation Officer

    The Position

    • The Documentation Officer is responsible for ensuring that all documentation related to invoicing, procurement, customs clearance, and purchase orders for both stores and technical supplies is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
    • This role is critical in supporting a timely, accurate, and well-structured vessel invoicing process, while also contributing to effective cost control and adherence to statutory and operational regulations.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Review all documents related to invoices and procurement.
    • Verify documents against purchase orders and quotations.
    • Highlight and resolve invoicing discrepancies
    • Ensure accurate filing and documentation for proper records and easy reach to technical officers
    • Suggest improvements to documentation and workflow process.

    Requirements

    • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in marine operations, Documentation, or related accounting field
    • Knowledge of Logistics and supply chain management
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook.
