Accountant at Law and Visas

About the Role

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to support our financial operations and ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
• The ideal candidate must be organised, analytical, and capable of working in a professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
• Record and reconcile daily transactions, bank statements, and ledgers
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting
• Prepare payroll records and statutory deductions
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards
• Support audits and respond to financial queries from management
• Maintain proper documentation and internal controls

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 3–5 years proven accounting experience
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks to manage day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance (mandatory)
• Good understanding of Nigerian tax and financial regulations
• High attention to detail and strong numerical skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Experience in a legal, consulting, or professional services firm is an advantage.
