    Accountant

    Description 

    Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, including project accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and tax compliance. With a focus on accuracy and efficiency, the Accountant will play a key role in supporting the financial health and growth of our organization.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
    • Perform project accounting tasks, tracking project costs, revenues, and profitability.
    • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Conduct financial forecasting and budgeting to support strategic planning and decision-making.
    • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax filings, including VAT, corporate tax, and other applicable taxes.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency and accuracy.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support business performance and growth initiatives.
    • Stay updated on accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practices.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • ACCA certification or equivalent qualification preferred.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrable functional experience in accounting roles, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
    • Experience in project accounting would be advantageous.
    • Proficiency in financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
    • Knowledge of tax laws and their administration, with experience in tax compliance and reporting.
    • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
