    Accountant

    Job Summary

    • The Accountant is responsible for managing the financial operations of the hospitality business, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost control, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The role involves overseeing daily accounting activities, monitoring revenue streams, and supporting management with financial insights to drive profitability.

    Key Responsibilities

    Financial Management & Reporting

    • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
    • Generate periodic financial reports (daily, weekly, monthly) for management review.
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
    • Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions.

    Revenue & Cost Control

    • Track daily sales from various revenue streams (rooms, food & beverage, events, etc.).
    • Reconcile sales reports with POS systems and bank statements.
    • Monitor expenses and implement cost control measures to improve profitability.
    • Analyze cost of goods sold (COGS), especially for food and beverage operations.

    Accounts Payable & Receivable

    • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
    • Ensure timely payment of vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
    • Follow up on outstanding receivables and maintain healthy cash flow.
    • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.

    Payroll & Tax Compliance

    • Prepare and process staff payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and statutory deductions.
    • Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, withholding tax, PAYE, etc.) in line with local regulations.
    • Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies when required.

    Inventory & Asset Management

    • Monitor inventory levels and perform periodic stock audits.
    • Work closely with procurement and operations teams to track usage and minimize wastage.
    • Maintain proper records of fixed assets and depreciation schedules.

    Budgeting & Forecasting

    • Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
    • Support management in financial planning and decision-making.

    Internal Controls & Compliance

    • Establish and maintain effective internal control systems.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.
    • Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage.
    • 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and POS systems.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

    Operations Manager (Salon)

    Job Summary

    • The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the salon, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient service delivery, and overall business profitability. The role involves managing staff, optimizing workflows, maintaining high service standards, and driving revenue growth.

    Key ResponsibilitiesSalon Operations Management

    • Oversee daily salon operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
    • Monitor appointment scheduling, client flow, and service turnaround times.
    • Ensure the salon environment is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
    • Maintain high standards of customer experience and service quality.

    Staff Supervision & Management

    • Supervise hairstylists, beauticians, and support staff.

    Inventory & Procurement

    • Monitor stock levels of salon products and supplies.
    • Manage procurement and ensure timely restocking.
    • Control product usage to minimize wastage and theft.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records.

    Financial Oversight

    • Track daily cash flow, expenses, and revenue.
    • Prepare basic financial and operational reports for management.
    • Ensure proper handling of cash, POS transactions, and record-keeping.
    • Assist in budgeting and cost control initiatives.

    Compliance & Health Standards

    • Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and safety regulations.
    • Enforce proper sterilization of tools and equipment.
    • Maintain adherence to industry and company policies.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (preferred).
    • 2–3 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a salon, spa, or hospitality setting.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Experience with salon management software and POS systems.
    • Good understanding of beauty and wellness industry operations.
