    Accountant

    Job Responsibilities

    • Prepares, develops and analyses key financial information to ensure that an organisation's management makes well-informed decisions to ensure future stability, growth and profitability.
    • Establish and maintain financial policies and management information systems, as well as provide a high quality support service by liaising with management, colleagues on all aspects of finance.
    • Analyze the performance of the business and advice on how to pre-empt problems, adapt to changing circumstances and improve value.
    • Manage and reduce operational and production costs and implementing newer, more effective strategies.
    • Preparing periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis, Group account/ annual report and commentaries.
    • Providing a support service by working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions;
    • Ensuring spending is kept in line with the budget;
    • Informing key strategic decisions and formulating business strategies;
    • Advising on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions;
    • Analysing financial performance and so contributing to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts;
    • Develop business and financial case/models for all new businesses.
    • Advise management on raising of required capital for financing new projects and monitoring of the disbursement of such funds.
    • Manage all investments.
    • Manage relationships with all banks.
    • Negotiating on major projects, loans and grants;
    • Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers;
    • Liaising with other function managers to put the finances and accounts in context;
    • Implementing corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls.
    • Analysing all project expenses and providing commentary
    • Maintaining all relevant income and expenditure for each project.
    • Looking after and maintaining the project reports

    Requirement

    • 4-6 years’ experience in financial/accounting roles with increasing levels of responsibility.
    • Upper credit (2.1) in Accountancy,
    • Chartered Accountant or MBA will be an added advantage
    • Must be good in procurement and negotiation
    • Females are preferred for gender balance
    • Experience in a small business, start-up or entrepreneurial setting
    • Excellent communication, presentation skills and ability to work independently
    • Ability to identify, flag and solve problems from start to finish
    • Detail oriented and extremely organized
    • Polished and professional demeanor
    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic setting and demonstrate initiative to drive constant improvement.
    • Strategic in driving revenue
    • Must be proficient user of Excel and Sage software.

    Assistant General Manager

    Job Description

    • Manages and oversees capital and operating construction projects, initiates departmental budget and forecast for staffing, equipment, materials, supplies, and capital and operating projects funds related to capital and operating projects.

    • Design strategy and set goals for growth, work closely with the stakeholders of the business for operational and strategic decisions.

    • Work closely with leadership and cross functional members of management team to drive and implement corporate strategy and long-range planning based on current portfolio opportunities and risks, financing needs and organizational capabilities. 

    • Assist in identifying portfolio, financing and/or organizational gaps and plans for how to best address them.

    • Lead the real estate project development team, determining rental income and negotiating lease agreements

    • Responsible for the business budget and projects’ profit and loss

    • Analyse the real estate sectors to identify the best strategy and development plan

    • Gather, prepare, and present information to the senior management on proposed projects in order to obtain approvals

    • Develop and cultivate relationships with landowners, brokers, potential business partners, and professional organizations

    • Manage, coordinate, administer, and negotiate the best deal structure for the business

    • Analyse and understand local ordinances and zoning codes to determine development parameters

    • Develop, monitor, and report detailed budgets, schedules, and status on projects while maintaining and updating the senior management

    • Manage all activities between stakeholders, consultants, and contractors in order to deliver projects within scheduled timeframes and budgets

    • Prepare business development documents, presentations, and briefing. Prepare, evaluate and present robust financial modeling and analysis to value projects and terms: 

    • Develop, participate and deliver high level impactful presentation and conclusion to senior management and key stakeholders. 

    • Participate in deal construction and negotiations

    • MBA is required or masters in any related course

    • Bachelor degree in Engineering or Architecture from recognized university with minimum of upper credit

    • 8-10 years of relevant Industr

    • Excellent time management and ability y work experiences with four (4) years of management experience. PMP is also an added advantage

    • Leadership, demonstrated business acumen, Problem solver – ability to identify problems and bring issues to resolution proactively.
