JOB SUMMARY
The Accounts Officer is responsible for providing financial, administrative services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial operations. She/he must comply with established accounting policies and procedures. An account officer is responsible to look after the financial part of a firm or a particular company. He is also given the responsibility of financial planning and record keeping of account
JOB DESCRIPTION
- The main purpose of an account officer is to analyse financial activities
- Collect invoices/bills and make payments ensuring the prevailing financial rules and regulations of Practical Action
- Prepare bank drafts and arrange for fund transfers against the payment of instalments to partners and other service providers as necessary
- Calculate tax and other deductions to deduct from source while making payment
- Process the travel and other expenditure claims complying the policies and procedures
- Make salary payment on time and provide salary transfer notice staff members
- Handle petty cash
- Enter financial data into computerized accounting system and run reports
- Provide accounting services to the concerned, especially the status of budget and expenditure
- Keep Practical and informed of changes to accounting system/ structure/ procedures through training/presentation
- Keep financial documents and records to meet the Group and subsidiaries requirements
- Keep liaison with the bank and other government institutions in Finance functions
- Maintain filing of Finance area
- Undertake any other duties as directed by the Group Accountant and CFO
QUALIFICATION
-
· First bachelor’s degree/HND in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or any Social sciences.
· Minimum of 3 years relevant post-graduation experience.
Membership or Student member of Account professional body (ICAN, ACCA etc) .

We are looking to employ a qualified and competent security coordinator who will organize security procedures for our manufacturing facility. As the security coordinator, you are also responsible for enforcing security procedures among your guard staff.
