An agency group set up to provide clients with a broad spectrum of marketing and communications services.
As a consortium of specialists and firm located within the heart of Africa, our network of entrepreneurs, talents and investors are dedicated to helping build Africa's leading brands.
Proximity is an Experiential Marketing Agency dedicated to fascinating consumers in ways that build leading brands. We do this by activating the creative energies of brands, ventures, customers and the relationships that drive them"
Proximity Communication was founded in September 2007 with a clear vision of establishing a brand agency consortium. We began trading in January 2008, achieving a total billing of N150m in our first financial year, from 4 clients, including Diageo UK. Two operating business groups were set up in 2008 to establish our foothold in brand activation and relationship marketing.
In August 2009 we acquired significant/majority interests in 4 small independent hot shops, which were merged to form the third operating business group; Springboard, which offers creative support services.
In June 2015, the group was re-structured into six independent firms providing diverse marketing support services, with Proximity focusing on Experiential Marketing. Proximity now currently has a full time staff strength of 25 specialists within its direct talent pool, ranging from experiential/event Planners, to campaign managers, creative directors, to account managers etc.
