The Imo State Polytechnic Umuagwo (formally known as Michael Okpara College of Agriculture, Umuagwo) was established in the year 1978.
The Polytechnic is located on 360 hectares of land, donated by the Umuagwo community in the Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State.
