Key Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans and curricula that align with the Yoruba language syllabus and national curriculum
• Teach Yoruba language, literature, and culture effectively across different grade levels
• Prepare students for assessments, examinations, and oral presentations
• Organise cultural events, guest speakers, and field trips to enrich student learning
• Incorporate current events and relevant themes into lessons to make them engaging and relatable
• Maintain accurate student records and communicate performance updates to parents and counsellors
• Stay updated on modern teaching techniques and integrate technology into classroom instruction

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Yoruba Language, Linguistics, Education, or related fields
• TRCN certification is an added advantage
• Solid knowledge of Yoruba language, literature, and culture
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• Proficiency in the use of technology and computer applications for teaching
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, resilient, and passionate about student development
• Up-to-date with 21st-century teaching methods.
