Workshop Manager at Singe Obi Group Limited

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise fleet maintenance activities – predictive, preventive and corrective.
• Ensure that timelines are incorporated into jobs assigned to technicians
• Ensure that jobs are satisfactorily delivered within assigned timeline and in compliance to safety rules
• Ensuring that jobs are done based on budgeted repair costs
• Keeps accurate record of jobs done in terms of technicians, dates including completing all necessary documents and templates.
• Provide advice, direction and regular feedback on workshop performance to motivate the technicians and/or apprentices
• Conducts on the job tutorials and assists in solving complex mechanical and hydraulic problems to provide mechanical training and instruction to workshop personnel including apprentices.
• Provide recommendations on workshop personnel productivity, work methods and associated costs
• Conduct the continual monitoring and controlling of workshop expenses to provided useful feedbacks to ensure that the workshop budget projections are achieved.
• Undertakes the physical repairs of trucks when there are critical jobs to deliver and/or there is a temporary manpower shortage and/or there is urgent repair needs.
• Other duties as maybe assigned.
