Job Description

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wordpress Theme & Plugin Developer to join our team on a contract basis.
• You will be responsible for developing and maintaining custom themes and plugins for Wordpress websites.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to gather requirements and understand their vision for website themes and functionality.
• Develop custom Wordpress themes that align with client specifications, ensuring a visually appealing and user-friendly experience.
• Create responsive website layouts using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, optimizing for cross-browser compatibility and mobile devices.
• Develop custom plugins to enhance website functionality, such as custom post types, custom fields, and integration with third-party APIs.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of themes and plugins to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot theme and plugin-related issues reported by clients or end-users.
• Optimize theme and plugin performance and security through code reviews, performance profiling, and other optimization techniques.
• Document the development process, including theme and plugin architecture, requirements, and user guides.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Wordpress Theme & Plugin Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in PHP programming language.
• In-depth knowledge of Wordpress CMS, including theme development and plugin architecture.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation.
• Solid understanding of web development principles, including responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and package managers (e.g., Composer, npm).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality code.
• Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
