WordPress Developer (Elementor + Onsite SEO Optimization) at 1840 & Company

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain WordPress sites using Elementor based on provided Photoshop or Figma designs
• Optimize site performance for Google PageSpeed Insights, including:
• Image compression (WebP), lazy loading, and next-gen format optimization
• Efficient CSS and JavaScript loading (minification, defer/async, removal of unused CSS)
• Font loading optimizations and preload strategies
• Core Web Vitals improvements (LCP, CLS, FID)
• Mobile responsiveness and speed tuning
• Configure and manage WP Rocket caching, CDN settings, and asset optimization.
• Implement and maintain All-in-One SEO plugin configurations, including basic schema markup
• Create and manage dynamic templates and fields using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
• Integrate with HubSpot forms, tracking, and automation tools
• Follow WordPress best practices, including theme structure, plugin management, and security
• Maintain clean, scalable code and handle regular updates and QA testing
• Work within a Cloudways staging environment, pushing updates to live after internal review

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of WordPress development experience
• Proven expertise in Elementor Pro, custom styling, and responsive layout building
• Strong understanding of SEO technical optimization techniques
• Experience with Google PageSpeed or similar tools
• Proficient with WP Rocket, ACF, and All-in-One SEO plugin
• Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, JS, and modern front-end development principles
• Experience integrating with HubSpot and CRM tools
• Familiarity with Cloudways hosting and staging workflows
• Meticulous attention to design details and ability to match UI designs accurately
