    Woodwork & Interior Architect

    Designing, fabricating, and installing custom woodwork projects. This includes creating architectural details, cabinetry, and millwork, often in collaboration with architects and interior designers. The role requires a combination of artistic skill, technical knowledge, and project management abilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop custom design plans, including architectural details, cabinetry, and millwork. 
    • Oversee the construction and fabrication of woodwork pieces, ensuring quality and precision. 
    • Coordinate the installation of custom woodwork elements within a building or project. 
    • Work closely with architects, interior designers, and other stakeholders to translate design concepts into reality. 
    • Manage projects from initial design to final installation, including budgeting, scheduling, and material procurement. 
    • Proficient in woodworking techniques, tool operation, and the use of CAD software. 
    • Possess a strong understanding of design principles and a creative vision for bringing custom woodwork projects to life. 
    • Take the “brief” to identify clients’ expectations and put together feasibility reports and design proposals
    • Produce detailed pro and make any necessary corrections
    • Keep within budgets and timelines
    • Make on site visits to check on project status and report on project
    • Cooperate and liaise with construction professionals.
    • Follow architectural trends and advancements

    Qualification:

    • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Building Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Demonstrated experience in custom woodworking, architectural millwork, or related field.
    • Certification in woodworking or relevant field may be beneficial.
    • Strong portfolio showcasing design and fabrication skills. 
    • Proven work experience in similar role

    Skills:

    • Strong understanding of architectural design principles, 3D modelling, and CAD software.
    • Knowledge of various woodworking techniques, tool operation, and material selection.
    • Ability to plan, organize, and execute projects effectively, including budgeting and scheduling.
    • Proficiency in using woodworking machinery and tools, including saws, routers, and lathes.
    • Excellent drawing skills and familiarity with design software (Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, 3D Studio VIZ or similar)
    • Strong imagination and the ability to think and create in three dimensions
