Job Summary

• As a Wireline Crew Chief 3, you are responsible for leading, performing a variety of basic and advanced wireline services. and supervising wireline operations in the field. The ideal candidate must possess deep technical knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to operational safety and efficiency. 
• You will be actively required to contribute to the implementation of Geoplex Drillteq Limited’s Quality and HS&E Management Systems by ensuring strict adherence to company policies, QHS&E procedures, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate all aspects of wireline operations on site, ensuring adherence to safety standards and job specifications.
• Knowledge of various wireline tools, including perforating guns and other downhole instruments.
• Prepare and operate Wireline Surface Pressure Control Equipment.
• Operate and maintain wireline equipment and tools at an optimal level.
• Lead and manage the wireline crew to perform slickline and electric line operations efficiently.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, tested, and prepared for operations.
• Interpret and execute job programs with the field engineer and client representatives.
• Complete accurate and timely job reports and documentation.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions as required.
• Coordinate with clients and wellsite supervisors to deliver wireline objectives.
• Coordinate with engineers, crane/forklift operators and other field personnel to achieve operational goals.
• Assist field engineers with wellsite operations.
• Enforce strict compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
• Drive, service, and maintain downhole tools and surface equipment.
• Prepare job reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Maintain records of explosives used in wireline operations
• Ensure safe handling and record keeping of explosives.
• Maintain a clean and orderly wireline area.
• Train and mentor junior crew members.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by your reporting line/HOD

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in Wireline or E-line Operations 
• Proven expertise in Slickline, Electric Line, and pressure control equipment operations.
• Strong understanding of wellsite safety, wireline tools, and downhole equipment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant technical certifications (e.g., IWCF, H2S, BOSIET, Wireline training certifications).
• Physically fit and willing to work in remote field locations for extended periods.
• HND/B.Eng in Engineering, Petroleum Technology, or a related field is an added advantage.
• Minimum of Second Class Lower/Lower Credit grade
