Job Summary

• The Weighbridge Operator is responsible for the accurate weighing, recording, and reporting of all vehicles entering and leaving the site with goods or materials.
• The role ensures compliance with company procedures, accuracy in documentation, and adherence to safety standards while maintaining effective communication with drivers, dispatch, and operations staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the weighbridge system to accurately weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles.
• Record vehicle details, load weights, product types, and driver information into the system.
• Issue weighbridge tickets, delivery notes, and other required documentation.
• Verify all documentation and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, security, dispatch, and warehouse/plant teams.
• Maintain accurate logs and daily/weekly reports of all weighbridge activities.
• Monitor and enforce site health, safety, and environmental regulations for vehicles using the weighbridge.
• Report any discrepancies, suspicious activity, or operational issues promptly to the supervisor.
• Perform basic checks and ensure the weighbridge equipment is properly calibrated and functional.
• Support audits and stock reconciliation processes by providing accurate weighing data.

• Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of OND/HND in Business Administration, Logistics, Accounting, or related field.
• Previous experience as a weighbridge operator or in logistics/warehouse operations preferred.
• Basic IT skills and ability to learn specialized weighing software.
• Familiarity with stock control and logistics processes is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and weighbridge/ERP software systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) procedures.
• Integrity and accountability in handling data and documentation.

Salary
N155,000 - N160,000 Monthly.
