Web Officer & Digital Marketer at 1860 Travels Limited

The Role

• The Web Officer & Digital Marketer will be responsible for the day-to-day management and growth of 1860 Travels' digital platforms.
• This is a hands-on role combining website management, SEO, digital marketing, content creation, social media, analytics and online campaign execution.
• The successful candidate should be comfortable working with websites and digital tools, creating engaging content, analysing performance data and turning digital traffic into enquiries, bookings and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Website Management

• Manage and maintain the 1860 Travels website and related digital platforms.
• Update website content, service pages, destinations, travel deals, promotions and landing pages.
• Ensure website information, prices, offers and promotional content are accurate and up to date.
• Work with developers to identify and resolve website issues.
• Test website pages, forms, booking journeys and other customer-facing features.
• Monitor website performance, functionality, user experience and mobile responsiveness.
• Recommend improvements to website structure, navigation and conversion.
• Support the development and maintenance of landing pages for campaigns.
• Manage and update relevant website sections including travel services, destinations, deals and blog content.

SEO & Search Marketing

• Implement and maintain on-page SEO across the website.
• Conduct keyword research and identify opportunities to improve organic visibility.
• Optimise page titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links and website content.
• Monitor Google Search Console and Google Analytics performance.
• Track keyword rankings, organic traffic and search visibility.
• Identify technical and content-related SEO issues and coordinate their resolution.
• Develop and execute content strategies designed to increase organic traffic.
• Monitor competitors and identify digital opportunities.
• Support local and international SEO initiatives.

Digital Marketing

• Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns across relevant platforms.
• Promote flights, hotels, tours, travel packages, insurance, airport transfers and other company services.
• Create campaigns around seasonal travel, destinations, events and special offers.
• Manage digital advertising campaigns where required.
• Monitor campaign performance and optimise campaigns based on results.
• Develop strategies to increase website traffic, enquiries, leads and bookings.
• Support email, WhatsApp and other digital customer-engagement campaigns.
• Work with the Sales and Marketing teams to convert digital leads into customers.

Social Media & Content

• Manage and grow the company's social media presence.
• Create engaging posts, reels, short-form videos, graphics and other digital content.
• Develop and maintain a social media content calendar.
• Research travel trends, destinations, events and topics relevant to the company's target market.
• Promote travel deals and destination-based offers.
• Repurpose website/blog content across social media channels.
• Monitor audience engagement, comments, messages and feedback.
• Track social media performance and provide regular reports.
• Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across digital platforms.

Content & Travel Marketing

• Research and write travel-related articles, destination guides and promotional content.
• Support the company's travel blog and destination content strategy.
• Develop content designed to attract customers searching for flights, holidays, tours and travel information.
• Create compelling destination-based campaigns and offers.
• Work with the Tours and Sales teams to promote travel packages and experiences.

Analytics & Reporting

• Monitor website traffic, user behaviour and conversion performance.
• Track digital marketing KPIs and campaign results.
• Prepare weekly and monthly digital performance reports.
• Identify trends and recommend actions based on data.
• Monitor leads, enquiries and bookings generated through digital channels.
• Use analytics to identify opportunities to improve conversion and revenue.

Performance will be measured against agreed targets including:

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree/HND in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, Communications, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–4 years' experience in digital marketing, website management, SEO, content marketing or a related role.
• Practical experience managing business websites.
• Good understanding of SEO and digital marketing principles.
• Experience with Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms and digital content creation.
• Good working knowledge of WordPress or another CMS is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple digital projects.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
