Weaving Machine Mechanic at Jaykay Group

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate textile machines that handle textile manufacturing and processing tasks such as knitting, winding, twisting, bonding, weaving etc.
• Put yarn, thread and fabric through needles, guides and machine rollers of equipment for knitting, weaving and other textile processing
• Get information from co-workers on orders, processes or problems and check textiles for defects and inspect products to make sure specifications are met
• Pull products with weaving defects and remove other product defects as appropriate, such as by cutting cloth or removing any filling
• Start machines, monitor their operations and make any necessary adjustments, such as mounting attachments or tools onto production equipment
• Stop machines when production is completed and conduct maintenance procedures, including lubricating the equipment and replacing worn components
• Inspect machines to fix problems or to determine whether repairs are needed
• Record information about work and jobs completed and relevant machine settings and notify managers and fellow workers of equipment maintenance or repair needs

Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:

• First Degree in Engineering or relevant field
• At least 5 years working in textile industry
• Ability to monitor equipment operations and perform quality control tests and inspections
• Critical-thinking and complex problem-solving skills
• Good communication and time-management skills
