As a WASH Program Assistant at Danuwa Empowerment Foundation, you will be a crucial contributor to our Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) initiatives, aiming to improve the well-being of communities and vulnerable groups.
Your role will involve supporting the planning, implementation, and coordination of WASH programs, ensuring access to clean water, proper sanitation, and hygiene education.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development and execution of WASH programs and projects, in alignment with organizational objectives.
Support the identification and assessment of WASH needs within target communities.
Assist in the planning and implementing WASH-related workshops, training sessions, and community outreach activities.
Collaborate with local partners and stakeholders to maximize the impact and sustainability of WASH interventions.
Help collect, monitor, and evaluate data to assess program outcomes and measure effectiveness.
Assist in the preparation of educational materials and resources on hygiene promotion and sanitation practices.
Provide administrative support to the WASH team, including recordkeeping and logistics coordination.
Participate in WASH-related meetings, workshops, and training sessions for professional development.
Comply with organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines in all WASH-related activities.
Assist in other duties and tasks as assigned by the WASH Program Manager or supervisor.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Previous experience in WASH program coordination or community development is desirable.
Passion for WASH initiatives and a commitment to improving public health and well-being.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse communities.
Detail-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data management tools.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Knowledge of WASH-related best practices, standards, and approaches is a plus.
