Job Description

• As a warehouse supervisor, you will oversee daily operations in the facility.
• Your role is crucial to meet productivity targets and maintain customer satisfaction.
• You ensure efficient processes and procedures are followed.
• Your attention to detail and leadership skills create a safe and organized warehouse environment.
• You are required to manage the storage and safekeeping of goods in the warehouse.
• You receive goods from suppliers, check them for damage, and store them appropriately.
• You track the movement of goods and are responsible for all paperwork relating to the receiving and dispatching of goods. You maintain sufficient levels of stock.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials, while ensuring efficient coordination amongst the staff.
• Monitoring and enforcing compliance with company policies and safety regulations to ensure the safety of all warehouse employees.
• Managing inventory includes maintaining accurate records, conducting cycle counts, and resolving discrepancies.
• Effectively plan and allocate resources to meet daily operational requirements, maximizing productivity and minimizing downtime.
• Train, mentor, and provide regular feedback to warehouse staff in order to cultivate their skills and expertise, enabling them to carry out their duties with utmost efficiency.
• Work together with other departments, such as logistics and procurement, to effectively manage and prioritize incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Consistently seek out opportunities for process improvement, and implement changes to increase efficiency and decrease costs.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with quality standards.
• Manage and resolve any warehouse-related issues or conflicts that may arise, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining positive employee relations.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse operations, including productivity, inventory levels, and shipping/receiving accuracy, providing recommendations for improvement.

Required Skills

• Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to supervise and motivate warehouse staff effectively.
• Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software to track and manage inventory, shipments, and productivity metrics.
• Sound knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping procedures, as well as inventory control techniques.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills to identify and resolve operational challenges promptly.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and operational requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and inventory management.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and demands.
