Warehouse Pickup Representative at Nelson Courier

Job Summary

• The Warehouse Pickup Representative is responsible for handling the preparation, verification, and release of goods for pickup.
• This role ensures that all items are accurately picked, properly documented, and handed over to customers, drivers, or dispatch personnel in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process pickup requests from customers or internal departments
• Locate and pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications
• Verify the accuracy of items picked (quantity, quality, and description)
• Prepare goods for pickup (packaging, labeling, and documentation)
• Maintain proper records of all outgoing items and pickups
• Coordinate with dispatch, inventory, and customer service teams
• Assist customers or drivers during the pickup process
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
• Report discrepancies, damages, or missing items to the supervisor
• Keep the pickup area clean, organized, and safe.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE / OND or equivalent qualification
• Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or inventory handling is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of inventory systems and documentation
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Physical fitness (ability to lift and move items when necessary)
• Attention to detail and accuracy
