Warehouse In-Charge at Apple and Pears Limited

Summary

• To oversee the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of the company's warehouse goods as well as to support all other activities of the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the storage arrangement and cleanliness of the warehouse.
• Coordinates the day-to-day receiving and supplying of products in the Warehouse.
• Ensures that tally 9 stock figures are fully up to date and frequently cross-checks numbers against actuals to pressure test the system.
• Prepares GRN and Bin cards and ensures invoices are filled effectively.
• Ensures that items are located in the correct area and tagged appropriately, including sellable stock, returned goods, quarantined items, and expired goods.
• Carries out the in-house monthly stock-taking.
• Plays a lead role in the quarterly and yearly stock-taking with the internal or external auditors.
• Prepares new SOPs and reviews existing ones for more efficient functioning of the Warehouse.
• Prepares monthly reports on short-dated products, stock coverage, time to dispatch and other relevant KPIs
• Determines and releases products to be coded by the Coding Unit.
• Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in the warehouse.

Knowledge & Skills Required

• HND or B.Sc in Supply Chain or other relevant courses.
• 4 - 8 years work experience.
• Good distribution practice storage requirement.
• Modern warehouse procedures.
• Warehouse management.
• Methods of proper and orderly storage and issuance of materials.
• Basic stock inventory procedures & requisitions.
• Computerized warehouse record-keeping systems.
• Maintain accurate and electronic record keeping.
