Job Summary

• The Video Editor plays a crucial role in the creative process, responsible for transforming raw footage into compelling visual stories, collaborating closely with the Content Team Lead and Content Creators to understand the vision for each project and execute it effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assemble raw footage, transfer, and upload it for editing.
• Edit footage in line with the script or brief.
• Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film or video.
• Input sound or funny reactions (where necessary) to enhance footage.
• Input dialogues, graphics, and effects.
• Create rough and final cuts.
• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running.
• Improve and correct lighting, coloring, and faulty footage.
• Work closely with Content Team Lead & Content Creators to present a final product that matches the set vision.
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry's best practices to maximize efficiency.
• Competencies (with willingness to resume within the shortest possible time)
• Proficiency in video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.
• Strong skills in video editing, sound design, colour correction, and visual effects.
• Good understanding of storytelling, timing, and continuity.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and adaptable with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualification & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio.
• Hands-on experience with modern editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut).
• Basic knowledge of effects, compositing, and digital production workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in film, media, or a related field is an added advantage.
