Vice Chancellor at Human Capital Partners (HCP)

• The Vice Chancellor is responsible for shaping the educational landscape, fostering excellence, and ensuring an enabling environment for students and faculty.
• The Vice Chancellor will serve on the Governing Council (chaired by Pro-Chancellor) and on the Senate, supervise policy development and academic planning, manage stakeholder relationships including with regulators (e.g., National University Commission and Joint Admission and Matriculations Board), and build on the positive image for the institution.
• The Vice-Chancellor will be responsible to the Board of Trustees via the Pro-Chancellor.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead the academic direction setting, academic strategy, academic standards, governance and delivery. 
• Providing administrative leadership across the institution and with the senior management team. 
• Driving academic programs and securing necessary regulatory approvals for new programs and accreditation. 
• Develop best possible research and innovation strategies for the university and drive its implementation. 
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for undergraduate and graduate education e.g. admissions. 
• Accountable for the operational P&L including developing budgets, allocating resources, and monitoring. 
• Enhance post student experience including career exploration, venture studios, alumni management. 
• Drive the diversity, equity, inclusion, mental health and well-being across the University ecosystem. 
• Serve on several councils including chairing the University Senate; membership of the Endowment Fund. 
• Maintaining positive relationships with other academic institutions, organizations, and the broader community. 
• Lead the university fundraising efforts including securing grants from foundations, corporate sponsorship and HNI. Active involvement in the development of the 5,000-student permanent campus and relocation before 2030. 

Person Specification.

• A Ph.D. preferably in a Technology, Science, Engineering, Leadership or Entrepreneurial Discipline 
• A Professor with extensive academic, teaching, managerial experience, and grasp of university operations. 
• Teaching or schooling experience in an Ivy-League, Russell group, or Top ranked University in the world. 
• A good record of scholarship and reputed drive for world class standards. 
• Able to work effectively in a “start-up” environment and with an entrepreneurial flair. 
• Ability to think out of the box (innovative or creative mindset) to solve complex problems. 
• Excellent networking and administrative skills. 
• Able to address audiences and engage with a range of professionals. 
• Entrepreneurial and able to generate new sources of income to support the university’s growth
