Upholsterer (Sewing & Tacking) at IO Furniture

Reports To: Upholstery Supervisor, Production Managers

Key Summary of the Job

Make furniture pieces such Sofas, headboards, ottomans as per given specifications.

Task Complexities

• Take measurements and accurately cut materials required for furniture upholstery.
• Use webbing stretchers to extend webbings and fabrics to be used as covers.
• Manually sew upholstery or operate sewing machines to seam cushions and join various ends of a fabric.

Education & Experience

• Minimum of SSCE
• 5-7 years previous experience as an Upholsterer (sewing or tacking) at a furniture manufacturing company
