Upholsterer at Proforce Limited

The Upholsterer will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring upholstered furniture and related products. This role requires precision, creativity, and technical expertise to ensure high-quality finishes that meet customer and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and sew fabrics and other materials for upholstery.
• Attach fabric, padding, springs, and other upholstery components to furniture frames.
• Repair or replace upholstery on existing furniture.
• Operate industrial sewing machines and other tools required for upholstery tasks.
• Select appropriate materials (fabric, foam, springs) based on specifications.
• Read and interpret design drawings and customer specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Ensure work is completed efficiently and to high-quality standards.
• Report any defects, damage, or quality concerns to the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Education & Qualifications:

• SSCE / OND / Technical Certification in Upholstery, Carpentry, or related fields.

Experience:

• 2 - 5 years of proven experience as an upholsterer in a manufacturing or furniture production environment.

Skills & Competencies:

• Skilled in cutting, sewing, and assembling upholstery materials.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Knowledge of upholstery materials and techniques.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and work long hours if needed.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Creativity and problem-solving abilities related to upholstery work.
