Role Overview:

• Are you passionate about mitigating risks and contributing to the financial health of a dynamic company?
• We're seeking an Underwriting Executive B2B to join our Credit & Risk Management Team in Lagos.
• As an Underwriting Executive, you'll play a vital role in evaluating the creditworthiness of potential customers, ensuring adherence to credit policies, and supporting various departmental functions.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze the creditworthiness of potential customers based on established risk criteria.
• Evaluate quantitative details in applications, making objective decisions grounded in financial information.
• Review credit facility applications, identifying deviations from credit policies and highlighting quality assurance issues.
• Assist with loan monitoring, risk rating, audit preparation, and recovery as directed by the Head of Department (HOD).
• Collaborate with business areas to communicate necessary credit amendments.
• Communicate credit concerns and quality assurance issues to business areas for resolution.
• Ensure credit approvals and KYC documentation are accurately executed, protecting the company's interests.
• Conduct credit searches on credit bureau databases and verify email transactions.
• Prepare Transaction Consummation Reports and conduct final transaction checklist reviews.

Key Performance Indicators:

• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of ROSABON products and apply this understanding to credit appraisal.
• Successfully underwrite a specified number of credits.
• Maintain customer credit file accuracy and adequacy of credit documents.
• Achieve successful bookings in accordance with approved conditions.
• Minimise un-regularized deferrals and maintain report accuracy.
• Provide accurate and timely reports to the HOD.

Requirements:

• Stay updated with current reporting standards.
• Ability to interpret and analyse financial statements.
• Possess strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Technologically savvy with sound knowledge of Excel.
