UI Design (Intern) at Mitiget Assurance and Technology Services Limited

Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented UI Design Intern to support our design team in creating clean, intuitive, and user-friendly digital interfaces. The ideal candidate should have a good eye for design, an interest in user experience, and a willingness to learn and grow in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing user interfaces for websites, web applications, and mobile applications.
• Create wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and high-fidelity interface designs.
• Translate design requirements and user needs into intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.
• Work with developers and other team members to ensure designs are properly implemented.
• Maintain consistency in colours, typography, spacing, components, and other UI elements.
• Assist in developing and maintaining design systems and reusable UI components.
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into design iterations.
• Conduct basic user research and usability reviews to identify areas for improvement.
• Stay updated on current UI/UX design trends, tools, and best practices.
• Support other design-related tasks and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently studying or recently graduated in Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of UI/UX design principles.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar tools.
• Good understanding of typography, colour, layout, spacing, and visual hierarchy.
• Basic understanding of responsive design and mobile-first design principles.
• Good attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.
• Ability to receive feedback and work collaboratively with a team.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop professionally.

Preferred Skills

• Basic understanding of user experience and usability principles.
• Experience creating prototypes and interactive designs.
• Familiarity with design systems and UI component libraries.
• Basic understanding of HTML and CSS is an advantage.
• A portfolio or examples of personal, academic, or previous design projects is an advantage.
