Job Description

As a typist for a book writer, your job description includes;

• Accurately transcribing handwritten or typed manuscripts provided by the book writer.
• Coordinating with the client to understand their requirements such as a standard template, formatting style, turnaround time and other guidelines.
• Listening to the audio carefully to produce accurate and high-quality transcriptions.
• Typing and formatting manuscripts using word processing software, adhering to industry standards and guidelines.
• Proofreading and editing the final document for incorrect grammar, awkward phrasing, incorrect statistics or numbers, and misquoting.
• Naming and organizing files to make it easier to search, and retrieve.
• Making necessary corrections and incorporating suggestions proposed by the client.
• Maintaining strict confidentiality regarding the content of the manuscripts and any sensitive information related to the author's work.
