    Treasury Associate

    About the job

    • We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Treasury Associate to support the organization’s cash flow management, liquidity planning, and financial risk control.
    • The role will ensure efficient treasury operations, optimal cash utilization, and timely financial obligations, while supporting strategic financial decision-making across the business.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor daily cash positions and ensure adequate liquidity to meet operational and strategic needs.
    • Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts (short-term and long-term).
    • Optimise cash utilisation across business units and accounts.
    • Execute and monitor all payments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with approval workflows.
    • Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
    • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
    • Support the identification and management of financial risks, including liquidity and foreign exchange exposures.
    • Ensure adherence to internal controls, treasury policies, and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all treasury transactions.
    • Prepare treasury reports including cash flow, liquidity position, and variance analysis.
    • Provide insights to support financial planning and decision-making.
    • Support month-end and year-end financial processes as required.
    • Identify opportunities to improve treasury processes, automation, and reporting efficiency.
    • Support implementation of treasury systems and tools where applicable.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1) for Bachelor’s degree holders or Upper Credit for HND holders is required.
    • 2–4 years’ experience in treasury, finance, accounting, or a related function.
    • Professional certification (or in view) such as ICAN, ACCA, CFA is an added advantage.
    • Strong understanding of cash management, banking operations, and financial controls.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.

    Must have skills:

    • Knowledge of Treasury
    • Proficiency in the use of accounting software and excel
    • Attention to details.
