About the Job

• Blue Phoenix Deepwater Limited, a leading indigenous provider of subsea diving, underwater inspection, repair, and maintenance services for offshore and nearshore floating assets in the oil, gas, and marine industry, is partnering with Stena Drilling, a leading international drilling company to recruit personnel for a long-term offshore deep-sea drilling project in Nigeria.

Key duties and responsibilities
Control all Drilling Operations and other interrelated activities being performed during their shift in a safe and efficient manner
Responsible for all the essential drilling operations, such as drilling, reaming, coring, fishing, running casing, tubing, cementing
Ensure the drilling operations are carried out as defined in the approved Operator's Instructions and Drilling Program, and the operation is executed in accordance with Stena's Drilling Operation Manual and RSWMs and where applicable any agreements made in the Bridging Document
Report directly to the Senior Toolpusher any deviations from approved Operator's Instructions or Drilling Programme
Helps all subcontractor companies to run their jobs and maintain good cooperation
Manage and monitor the execution of the Planned Maintenance System within the Drilling Department.

Required skills and experience

• Previous experience in a similar position, installation and duel operating ram rig
• Proven experience with a Schlumberger Deepwater MPD operation including its hardware and control system
• 18 years of relative experience
• Competence in personnel management
• Management of Major Emergencies
• IWCF Well Control - L4 Supervisor
• Accident Investigation
• Drilling Riser Analysis.
