Job Summary

The Workshop Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance and repair activities within the workshop. The role ensures safe, efficient operations aligned with standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintains accurate records of workshop activities and spare parts, and coordinates with inventory and procurement units.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee Maintenance and Repairs: Direct and manage all maintenance and repair activities within the workshop to ensure optimal fleet performance and minimal downtime.
• Supervise Daily Workshop Operations: Lead the daily operations, assign tasks to technicians, and monitor workflow efficiency. Oversee the use and management of used spare parts inventory.
• Inventory and Spare Parts Management: Coordinate with the inventory and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of required parts. Monitor stock levels and maintain proper records for used and new components.
• Track the usage and availability of spare parts tools and equipment ensuring efficient inventory management.
•  Documentation and Reporting: Ensure accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, job cards, parts usage, and repair logs. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management review.
• Ensure repairs are done at first hand to prevent repetitive job.
•  Oversee Maintenance and Repairs: Direct and manage all maintenance and repair activities within the workshop to ensure optimal fleet performance and minimal downtime.

Educational Qualification and Work Experience

• B.Sc./HND Mechanical/Agric Engineering, MSc. Is added advantage.
• 10 Years in fleet maintenance proven track record specially the area cane heavy equipment, harvesting and loading machines.
