    Telesales Person

    Telesales personnel is needed in a heavy machinery sales company.

    HMD Africa is the leading heavy machinery solutions provider in Nigeria, Ghana and Guinea and serves the industries of mining, construction, roadwork, earthmoving, asphalt, concrete, recycling, warehousing and agriculture.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic Telesales Representative to contribute to the sales objectives of the company. The individual will be responsible for creating potential leads over the phone and maintaining good customer relationships.

    • Searching for potential customers and create leads for sales
    • Contacting potential or existing customers to inform them about our products available, promotions, and services.
    • Answering questions about products or the company
    • Asking questions to understand customer requirements
    • Individual must be an excellent communicator with the ability to present our products and services, deal with questions and complaints over the phone and via email.

    Responsibilities

    • Contact potential or existing customers to inform them about our products available, promotions, and services.
    • Answer questions about the company, our products and services.
    • Ask questions to understand customer requirements
    • Direct prospects to the field sales team when needed
    • Enter and update customer information in the database
    • Go the “extra mile” to contribute to meeting sales quota and facilitate future sales.
    • Keep records of calls and sales and note useful information
    • Willingness to go for field visits at necessary intervals.

    Requirements

    • Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospects
    • Excellent knowledge of English
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Working knowledge of relevant computer software.
    • Cool-tempered and able to handle rejection
    • Outstanding negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints
    • Highly teachable and good creative thinking ability
    • Minimum HND/BSc/BA in any social science discipline.
    • Experience as a telesales or customer care/marketing personnel in a B2B company is an advantage.
