    Technical Sales & Project Management Engineer

    Job Summary

    The Technical Sales & Project Management Engineer plays a key role in delivering customized, technically sound, and commercially viable solutions to clients in either the Solar Energy or Chemical Engineering division. This role requires a hybrid skill set combining engineering expertise with business development, customer relationship management, and end-to-end project delivery.

    Engineers in this position work closely with management and/or clients to understand their operational needs, propose technical solutions, and oversee successful project implementation—from initial concept and design to execution and performance monitoring. Whether focused on solar photovoltaic systems or chemical processing solutions, the engineer ensures that every solution meets technical standards, safety regulations, and client expectations while supporting the company’s growth objectives.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead client consultations to assess project requirements and propose appropriate technical solutions.
    • Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals, including detailed specifications, drawings, and pricing.
    • Design, evaluate, and oversee engineering systems related to:
      • Solar Division: Solar PV systems (grid-tied, hybrid, or off-grid), mounting structures, inverters, and energy storage solutions.
      • Chemical Division: Industrial chemical processing systems, fluid handling equipment, dosing systems, or industrial gas applications.
    • Manage the full project lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, procurement, implementation, and post-installation support.
    • Conduct technical evaluations such as site assessments, modeling/simulation, and performance analysis.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (contractors, suppliers, clients) to respond to bid requests & proposal submisions.
    • Monitor ongoing installations and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
    • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-divisional collaboration.
    • Support the sales team with technical expertise during client pitches, exhibitions, or proposal development.
    • Maintain accurate project documentation and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.

    Required Qualifications & Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a technical sales, engineering design, or project management role.
    • Proven knowledge of:
      • Solar Division: Solar PV design, installation, and performance analysis.
      • Chemical Division: Chemical process design, industrial equipment integration, safety systems.
    • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance client needs and business objectives.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVSyst, or industry-specific modeling tools is an asset.

    Preferred Certifications (an advantage, not mandatory)

    • Solar PV Installation or Design Certifications (e.g., NABCEP, SEI)
    • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2
    • HSE certifications or industry-specific safety training
