    Technical Sales Engineer

    Job Summary:

    • We are seeking a results-driven and technically proficient Technical Sales Engineer to support our business development efforts in the Northern Region. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with commercial acumen to drive sales, build long-term client relationships, and provide customized solutions to meet client needs.
    • This role involves regular field visits, client engagement, and working closely with both technical and commercial teams to drive product adoption and revenue growth across the region

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify, engage, and convert prospective clients in the Northern region.
    • Promote and sell the company’s products and solutions to customers.
    • Work closely with internal engineering and product teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, engineers, project teams, and stakeholders.
    • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the region.
    • Ensure post-sales support, training, and client satisfaction.
    • Provide timely sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence.
    • Conduct on-site surveys to gather data on customer’s load demand, roof structures/ ground areas for system suitability, electrical systems, shading, and site accessibility.
    • Prepare and submit complete and accurate site audit reports.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, or related discipline).
    • 5 years experience in technical sales or field engineering, preferably in the energy, power, or industrial sector.
    • Proven track record of meeting sales targets in a technical or consultative sales role.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical clients.
    • Proficiency in operating data loggers/power analyzers, and standard measurement tools (e.g., multimeter, clamp meter).
    • 1–2 years of experience in solar site audits, energy audits, and electrical fieldwork.
    • Strong analytical skills in interpreting electrical data and generating meaningful insights.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
    • A willingness to travel extensively within the Northern region.
    • Fluency in English and Hausa languages.

    Key Competencies:

    • Background in solar, power solutions, energy audit, and electrical systems.
    • Knowledge of regional dynamics, business culture, and customer behavior in Northern Nigeria.
    • Experience dealing with public and private sector stakeholders.
