Weatherford, a leading global oil and gas service company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Engineer specializing in Liner Hangers & Cementation technologies to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. This role combines technical expertise with sales acumen to drive business growth in the Nigerian market while providing exceptional technical support to clients.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary technical and commercial point of contact for Weatherford's Liner Hanger and Cementation product lines in the assigned territory.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the Nigerian oil and gas sector, including IOCs (International Oil Companies) and local operators.
Prepare detailed technical proposals, presentations, and cost estimates for liner hanger and cementation services.
Conduct technical presentations to clients highlighting the features, benefits, and applications of Weatherford's liner hanger systems and cementation technologies.
Collaborate with operations teams to ensure successful job execution and client satisfaction.
Provide technical support during pre-job planning, execution, and post-job analysis.
Analyze well conditions and recommend appropriate liner hanger systems and cementation solutions.
Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to capture market share.
Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence to management.
Participate in technical discussions with clients regarding well design and completion strategies.
Conduct technical training for clients and internal teams on liner hanger and cementation technologies.
Collaborate with global product line teams to introduce new technologies to the Nigerian market.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and technical discussions in the company's CRM system.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 3 years specifically in liner hanger operations and/or cementation services.
Proven technical knowledge of downhole completion tools, particularly liner hanger systems and cementation equipment.
Understanding of well construction principles, downhole conditions, and completion techniques.
Experience with Weatherford's liner hanger product lines (such as TruForm™, MetalSkin®, or SwageHanger™) is highly desirable.
Familiarity with cementation processes, cement slurry design, and cementing equipment.
Strong technical sales background with demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Experience working in the Nigerian oil and gas market is preferred.
Willingness to travel extensively within Nigeria and occasionally internationally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with CRM systems.
