A Technical Product Manager (TPM) plays a critical role in the development and success of technology products.
The TPM bridge the gap between technical teams (engineering, design, and data science) and non-technical teams (marketing, sales, and customer support) to ensure that a product is developed, launched, and maintained effectively.
The TPM is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and overall lifecycle management of a product, ensuring that it meets customer needs and aligns with Wakanow’s goals and objectives.
Requirements
Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap based on market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback. Collaboratewith stakeholders to align product goals with overall company objectives.
Gather and distill customer requirements, translating them into detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for development teams.
Work closely with engineering, design, data science, and other relevant teams to prioritize features, plan sprints, and ensure timely and successful product delivery.
Utilize Agile methodologies to manage the product development lifecycle, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and facilitatingstand-up meetings.
Lead the end-to-end product development process, ensuring that the product is developed to meet quality standards, technical feasibility, and user expectations.
Make data-driven decisions on feature prioritization, balancing customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
Coordinate the launch of new products or features, including creating go-to-market strategies, messaging, and collaborating with marketing and sales teams.
Monitor key product metrics post-launch, gather user feedback, and iterate on features to enhance product performance and user satisfaction.
Identify potential risks and obstacles in the product development process and work proactively to mitigate them.
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitors to ensure the product remains competitive and relevant.
Keep all relevant stakeholders informed about product updates, progress, and potential challenges throughout the development cycle
Benefits
Bachelors or higher degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Business, etc.)
Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager or similar role in the technology industry.
Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies, preferably Agile.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Ability to translate technical concepts into clear and concise language for non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar project management and collaboration tools.
Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Effective communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills.
Experience in working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders.
Certification in Agile methodologies or Product Management (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) is a plus.
Previous experience with data analysis, user experience design, or technical writing can be beneficial
