Job Summary

• The Technical Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality output.
• The role includes troubleshooting minor technical issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and production goals.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Production:

• Operate assigned machinery and equipment according to SOPs.
• Prepare machines for daily use, including calibration, cleaning, and basic adjustments.
• Monitor production to maintain consistent output and quality.
• Record data on production, such as downtime, output, and defects.

Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs to prevent breakdowns.
• Identify equipment issues and escalate complex technical problems.
• Ensure machines are cleaned and lubricated as needed.
• Assist maintenance technicians with major repairs.

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct regular quality inspections on materials and finished products.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and report any deviations immediately.
• Maintain documentation for traceability and audits.

Safety & Compliance:

• Follow safety rules, use PPE properly, and adhere to company policies.
• Participate in safety drills, toolbox talks, and training sessions on compliance.
• Promptly report hazards, unsafe practices, and near-miss incidents.
• Keep the workspace clean and organized following 5S standards.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Complete daily logs, production sheets, and maintenance checklists.
• Report operational issues to the Shift Supervisor and suggest improvements.
• Help update operational records and review SOPs.

Key Requirements
Education & Qualifications:

• O'Level certificate / OND.

Experience:

• 1 - 3 years of experience as a Machine Operator, Technical Operator, or similar role in manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Hands-on experience in a bouillon season plant is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

• Good understanding of basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Problem-solving and basic decision-making skills
• Ability to observe and maintain safety regulations, including Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Housekeeping practices of the production area.
