    Technical Assistant to the GCEO

    Role Overview

    The Technical Assistant to the GCEO provides high-level financial, technical, and strategic support directly to the Group Chief Executive Officer. This role acts as a strategic gatekeeper and analytical engine, translating complex financial data, industry trends, and operational metrics into actionable business insights to drive executive decision-making and group-wide strategic initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    • C-Suite Strategic Support: Act as the primary analytical advisor to the GCEO; prepare executive summaries, brief notes, board presentations, and speeches for high-level stakeholders.
    • Financial & Data Analysis: Review, analyze, and stress-test financial statements, performance reports, investment proposals, and budgetary allocations across group subsidiaries.
    • Financial Modeling & Dashboards: Build and maintain sophisticated financial models, valuation reports, and business intelligence dashboards to track organizational KPIs.
    • Governance, Risk & Compliance Support: Monitor regulatory updates within the financial services/insurance sector and assess their impact on group operations.
    • Stakeholder Coordination: Manage high-priority relationships and communications with board members, regulatory bodies, and senior executives on behalf of the GCEO.

    Required Qualifications & Experience

    • Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree strictly in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a highly quantitative business discipline.
    • Professional Certification: Must possess ICAN, ACCA, or an equivalent recognized accounting/financial charter.
    • Direct Experience: Minimum of 4–6 years of progressive experience, with a mandatory current or recent role providing direct analytical support to C-suite executives (CEO, CFO, Executive Directors).
    • Industry Background: Proven track record within Financial Services (Insurance, Banking, Asset Management), Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, or Top-tier Management Consulting.

    Core Skills & Competencies

    • Advanced Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of corporate finance, financial analysis, accounting standards, and regulatory frameworks.
    • Executive Presence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, tailored for board-level and executive audiences.
    • Advanced Tool Proficiency: Expert-level mastery of Microsoft Excel (advanced financial modeling, macros, complex formulas) and PowerPoint (building clean, data-driven executive decks).
    • Analytical Rigor: Ability to synthesize vast amounts of complex financial and operational data into concise, high-impact executive summaries.
    • Discretion & Trust: Absolute confidentiality and high emotional intelligence required to operate effectively within the office of the GCEO.
