Tech Mentors at African Institute of Technology and Innovation (AITI)

Role Description

This is a remote volunteer position as a Tech Mentor at AITI. As a Tech Mentor, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students in their learning journey. Your day-to-day tasks may include:

• Live Recap Sessions (Virtual, weekly)
• Reviewing Recorded Class Videos (for errors and content quality)
• Assignments & Projects(Review and give feedback)
• Daily Support(via comm.channels and 10-15mins clarity call sessions)

You will help create a supportive and collaborative learning environment for the students through virtual communication channels.

Qualifications

• Experience in the tech industry
• Strong knowledge and skills in the specific tech area(s) you will mentor
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience and ability to work with diverse groups of individuals
• Understanding of the challenges faced by students in the educational system
• Ability to provide constructive feedback and encouragement
• Flexibility and adaptability to work remotely
• Experience in mentoring or teaching is a plus
• Proficiency in additional programming languages or technologies is beneficial
• Relevant certifications or degrees in the tech field
