    Team Lead, Financial Reporting & Consolidation

    Job Description

    • To oversee the daily financial transactions of the finance department. He/She will be responsible for providing support in monthly and annual book closing and reporting, supervises all ledger reconciliations, oversees producing periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly and yearly) and ensuring reports depicts accurately the financial health and position of the business at the different entity levels and group levels.
    • Preparation of the audited financial statement is his/her primary responsibility.

    Core Functions / Responsibilities
    Reporting:

    • Manage the preparation and distribution of internal financial statements and reports, maintaining the highest quality, reliability, and accuracy
    • Develop and maintain the integrity of the financial reporting process and controls.
    • Coordinate, develop and update written policies and procedures over the financial reporting process
    • Monitor legislative, regulatory, and international reporting developments and communicate the changes effectively within the organization
    • Manage regulatory payments and filings, PAYE, Pension, WHT and VAT, other tax, and relevant tax filings

    Consolidation:

    • Reviews the financial statement of subsidiaries to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Consolidates and supervises the preparation of the group’s financial reports.

    Operations:

    • Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
    • Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
    • Continuing to improve the payment process.

    Audit:

    • Ensure the completion of the yearly audited exercise within the agreed timeframe and with zero exception

    Strategy:

    • Participate in the formation of the Group’s strategy

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's or Master's in a Business-oriented discipline. Professional qualifications (ACCA, ACA, CPA completed or in progress) is essential.
    • Minimum of 6 years accounting knowledge with at least 2 years in leadership position
    • Understanding of retail/hospital accounting system
    • Strong numerical, reconciliation skill and attention to details
    • Ability to innovate and lead the building of new value-adding platforms
    • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and accounting applications
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
