Sustainability Strategy & Execution Manager at BUA Foods

Objective

• To lead the development, integration, and execution of BUA Foods' sustainability and ESG strategy, ensuring measurable environmental, social, and operational impact across all business units while aligning with regulatory requirements and global best practices.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously refine the company's sustainability and ESG strategy aligned with business objectives. Translate high-level sustainability goals into actionable implementation roadmaps.
• Embed sustainability into core operations (manufacturing, supply chain, distribution).
• Drive end-to-end execution of sustainability initiatives across all plants and business units.
• Oversee ESG reporting in line with required frameworks
• Ensure compliance with environmental laws, standards, and audits.
• Establish and monitor KPIs, metrics, and dashboards for sustainability performance.
• Drive continuous improvement using data-driven insights.
• Engage internal stakeholders (operations, procurement, finance) to ensure alignment.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement initiatives involving host communities, NGOs, government agencies, and relevant bodies
• Lead sustainability-related communications and disclosures.
• Lead cross-functional transformation programs.

Qualification / Experience

• BSc/HND in Environmental Science, Economics, Engineering or any relevant field.
• 5-7 years of experience in Sustainability, ESG analysis & reporting or environmental management (FMCG/manufacturing preferred).
• Working knowledge of GRI, CDO, UNGC and SASB frameworks.
