    Surfer Pilot (M / F)

    Reference: 2020-188  
    Location: Africa
    Contract Type: Contracted
    Type of Vessel: SURFER
    Rotation (in average): 80 days on / off
    Job Type (offshore / onshore): Offshore
    Areas of Operations: Angola, Nigeria, Congo.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure safe passenger transfer
    • Assess appropriate moment for passenger to board / disembark
    • To conduct load inspection prior loading and after loading & report of light cargo.
    • Is overall responsible and accountable to the company for his vessels, its movements and personnel during operations.
    • Communicate on operational and safety issues with clients rep, port authorities, base & ship man
    • Prepare passage plans.
    • Command and operate the vessel in a safe and cost-efficient manner
    • Report to HSE manager any matters which could be detrimental to the safety of the vessel, crew or company property
    • Ensure that all paperwork pertaining to accounts, safety, operations and crew are completed to the satisfaction of our operations, filed or dispatched to the head office in time.
    • Ensure that the oil book is correctly filled
    • To carry out drills.
    • Supervise shore workers carrying out maintenance and/or repairs
    • Ensure that each crew member is aware of his duties.
    • Maintain throughout the contract a good communication with the contract manager as per Bourbon client satisfaction chain
    • Conduct accident investigation and provide comprehensive report and ensure that corrective actions are correctly implemented onboard.

    N.B: Above mentioned list of duties is not exhaustive and tasks onboard vessels assigned to this position are not limited to above list.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experiences
    Our minimum certificate requirement:

    • Master license 500 GT (A-II / 3)

    Our minimum experience requirement:

    • Waterjet propulsion
    • Passenger transfers by way of boat landing

    Candidate Criteria:

    • Minimum level of education required: 6 - Other
    • Minimum level of experience required: 1-2 years.

    Licenses (seafearers only):

    • A-IV/2_GMDSS radio personnel
    • Master <500 GT (A-II/3).

    Languages:

    • English (Maritime English).
