    Supply Chain Manager

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY

    The Supply Chain Manager handles leading and managing the overall supply chain operations for the hospital. This includes procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment. The Supply Chain Manager oversees the purchasing and inventory managers. The Supply Chain Manager Supply chain managers must be able to analyze data and processes, find creative solutions, generate reports, and present findings to upper management and other departments.

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Ensure appropriate process controls and documentation are in place at suppliers.
    • Perform all company business in accordance with regulations, company policies and procedures and demonstrate high ethical and professional standards with business contacts to maintain the client's excellent reputations within the business community.
    • Read and comprehend legal documents such as contracts or import/ export agreements.
    • Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors.
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures.
    • Monitor and analyze inventory levels, and make recommendations for reordering and replenishing supplies.
    • Develop new and existing relationships with suppliers.
    • Continuously look for new opportunities to improve supply chain processes, and implement new technologies and methodologies where appropriate.
    • Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions on time.
    • Manage and minimize the risks (for example operational or reputational) that could affect or interrupt the supply chain.
    • Consider the environmental impact of the supply chain in order to meet sustainability target.
    • Create supply chain management strategies that increase efficiency and speed.
    • Monitor and analyze supply chain metrics and adjust as needed to improve performance.
    • ​Collaborate with other departments to close operational gaps.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field
    • Master’s is preferable but not necessary
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in a healthcare setting
    • Experience with supply chain management software and systems
    • Ability to make decisions on the go in liaison with the relevant stakeholders.
