    Supply Chain Lead

    Job Summary

    • The Supply Chain Lead is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain processes to ensure the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods from suppliers to customers. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to manage inventory levels, coordinate with vendors, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain network. The Supply Chain Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams including procurement, logistics, production, and sales to align supply chain operations with business objectives.

    Responsibilities 

    • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with business goals, focusing on cost reduction, efficiency, and service improvement.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and logistics metrics to assess operational efficiency.
    • Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing holding costs.
    • Implement inventory control processes to reduce waste and obsolescence.
    • Manage logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
    • Optimize logistics networks and distribution channels to enhance customer satisfaction.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
    • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce costs across the supply chain.
    • Lead supply chain projects and initiatives from concept to completion, ensuring timely and successful execution.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of supply chain activities
    • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance and present insights to senior management.
    • Planning and Forecasting: Develop and implement supply chain strategies and plans to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
    • Inventory Management: Oversee and manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained to meet demand while minimizing excess.
    • Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
    • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate and oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
    • Performance Metrics: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
    • ERP Management: Utilize ERP software to manage supply chain operations, ensuring accurate data entry and efficient workflow processes.
    • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team to achieve operational excellence and meet organizational goals.
    • Compliance: Ensure all supply chain activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.

    Minimum Educational Qualification & Experience

    • HND/BSC and other certifications and training.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) is a plus
    • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.

    Knowledge, Skills, Capabilities and Personal Qualities:

    • Proficient in MS Excel and experienced with ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
    • Project Management, Organizational and Leadership, team management skill and abilities.
    • Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
    • A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
    • Excellent communication skills, written, interpersonal and verbal skills
    • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to contribute individually and lead, manage or participate in cross-functional teams.
    • Tech enthusiast, Persuasiveness, good decisions
    • Ability to create great working relationships with all levels within the company and across multiple disciplines.
    • In-depth understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and warehouse operations.
    • Familiarity with logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).
    • Awareness of the latest trends and technologies in logistics and supply chain management.
    • Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve operational goals.
    • Capability to develop and implement process improvements.
    • The ability to troubleshoot logistics issues.
    • Capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
