Supermarket Driver at Elenasy

Job Description:

As a supermarket driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting groceries from our store to customers' homes in a timely manner. You will represent our company to customers, therefore excellent customer service skills and professionalism are essential.

Responsibilities:

1. Safely operate delivery vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
2. Load and unload groceries from the delivery vehicle while ensuring products are handled with care to maintain quality.
3. Plan delivery routes efficiently to minimise delivery time and fuel consumption.
4. Provide exceptional customer service by delivering orders accurately and courteously.
5. Verify the accuracy of orders before delivery and address any discrepancies with the store manager.
6. Collect payments from customers, issue receipts, and handle cash transactions responsibly.
7. Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on delivery times and address any concerns or inquiries.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles, ensuring they are well-maintained and in good working condition.
9. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of yourself, customers, and fellow employees.
10. Assist with other duties within the supermarket as needed, such as stocking shelves or assisting customer’s in-store.

Qualifications:

1. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
2. Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role.
3. Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
4. Strong customer service and communication skills.
5. Attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
6. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
7. Basic math skills for handling transactions and verifying orders.
8. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
9. Prior experience in the retail or supermarket industry is a plus.
